Our Kids have Nowhere to Skate
Our town leadership has stated that kids skateboarding in a park should be prosecuted “for not obeying a sign”. This is an unacceptable antiquated approach. So WE the people, have a solution. BUILD A MUNICIPAL SKATE PARK. No child should be penalized for skateboarding which is a great physical activity when 39% of youth in Shelby County are Obese. No child should be penalized or arrested for skateboarding. That is unacceptable.
So Lets Do Something About it
We will work with the community and city leaders to get a Municipal Skate Park Approved and Built. This website will be a treasure trove of information, whether that be financial statements with the money YOU donated or PDF files for hard copy petitions. The website will also be a central location for all petitions and fundraising. We will be fundraising in the Private and Corporate Sectors. We will also have yard signs to buy that will fund the donations for the Arlington Municipal Skate Park.
